School is finally out which means I will have a lot more time to spend working on the layout! Right now I am waiting of the foam board for the layout but in the mean time I have begun playing around with some track configurations in the yard. The Yard will have 5 storage tracks, 3 Locomotive servicing tracks and 1 car repair track. Not all the track is laid out because I need to get some more from the local hobby shop.
As for the structures in the yard, I will be using the BLMA yard office, Walthers Railcar Restoration building for the Car repair shop and Walthers Car Shop as the locomotive facility. I have a gentleman by the name of DJ kit-bashing and detailing two of these kits together to form one long structure. He does a lot of nice work! Check his website out at
